 excellent sound for an earbud, good price. Apr 12, 2010
I purchased these earbuds to use at work, in replacement of some $15 sony earbuds that were getting a bit old. I use these at work, where I need to be able to hear outside sounds. So in-the-ear canal buds or full over-the-ear headphones are out of the picture. With that said, these sennheisers provide excellent sound given the limitations inherent in all earbuds. Bass is good (particularly mid basss, which is plentiful without becoming distorted or muddy) the Bass can't compare to that of me sennheiser HD 280 Pros, but again that's to be expected of earbuds. The treble is bright and clear, and the seperation of instruments is excellent. Overall the sound is a distinct improvement over my old Sony earbuds, which were not bad to begin with.
As noted in some other reivews, the winder and case are not that great, but for my purposes that doesn't matter. In my opinion sound quality is a paramount concern, so that's fine with me.

Construction: Solid, high quality plastic. The earpiece seems to be better much sturdier than other earphone.
Pros:
-Sound quality is excellent. I have use over 15 different kind of earphone, this has the best sound.
-Non in-ear design.
Cons:
-The cable winder that comes with it is useless.
Good earbuds Sep 30, 2009
As far as these standard-type earbuds go, these are the best sounding pair I've owned. I docked a star for sound quality because they're certainly not the best earbuds I've ever heard (the in-ear ones sound better to me), but I doubt that I could find a better pair like these. They're also fantastic for running, and I have no problems whatsoever with them falling out of my ears. Compare this to... any other earbuds or headphones, really, which either won't stay in my ear or hurt them.

If you are looking for inexpensive ear buds with good sound quality these are great.
Putting on the covers for the ear buds by flipping them inside out over the ear bud give me trouble, but they stayed on tightly and are comfortable. Only complaint I have is the rubber coating on the cord which twists and crosses up here and there, takes a moment to undo so it's not a big deal.
Great build quality, great sound quality, good cord length, and the bend in the plug is great if you have an Mp3 player in your pocket and don't want a bent cord shorting out some day. I have been using them pretty roughly for the past month or so and they haven't had any problems.
UPDATE Feb 17,2010: These ear buds are still working perfectly. They've been pulled out and dropped several times, but still work perfectly. The cord crossing up is annoying, but I've found that other cords without the rubber coating cause virtually the same trouble, once again not a big deal.

I bought this item as a gift for Christmas. The recipiet likes this products better than the headphones that came with the I-pod (I replaced thembecause he stepped on them and broke them). I really wanted the ones for workingout so they don't slide out of your ear so easily, but those were out of stock.
Overall they sound good, nothing spectacular, but I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for basic earbuds and nothing fancy.
