Stopped Working in 7 months Jul 25, 2010
This product stopped working after 6 months from purchase date. I was using it with my iphone 3gs and it stopped working. I put the iphone into the jack but it does not recognize the iphone. I am disappointed that i didn't last longer than 6 months especially being a Sony Product.

The trouble's in the treble Jul 16, 2010
Lots of distortion in the treble makes this product less than it should be for the price. I use this docking station in my massage therapy studio, so I don't turn it up very loud, which makes it tolerable. If you're looking for pure sound, I guess you'd have to spend more than $100 and that seems strange to me given the high quality of small speakers like the Bostons on my computer. Must be the docking capability we're paying for... I was really expecting more from Sony.

The audio quality is really impressive given it's size. Amazing really. The remote controls more IPOD functions than I've had in other docks and, as you would expect, is nicely laid out. The system is much heavier than you would expect it to be due to it's wooden cabinet...a good thing, IMHO. I have yet to find a single complaint. Did I mention the sound quality is superb? This one's a definite keeper. No clock or AM/FM or CD player thank God!!! Just the beautiful simplicity of IPOD/IPHONE playback. This product does one thing & does it very well. Very elegant in appearance, for most rooms this would replace a stereo system nicely. I've already bought two more for myself & probably will get more to give as gifts. It is rare that I find an electronics product that I felt strongly enough about to bother reviewing it. I had been losing my fondness for Sony stuff (i.e.-DVD players) but this has revived it. One well designed unit.

Only one complaint. The dock comes with adapters for IPhone but does not have adapters for common IPhone cases. Therefore you must remove IPhone from case to use adapters provided. Only other option is to leave IPhone in case and not use any adapter and be very careful not to wobble or bend pins that plug into IPhone.

Sound is great and we like in all other respects.

This little baby puts out mega sound for its size. It is however distorted with the bass boast activated and I dont like how the bass boast is on by default but accounting for that small inconvenience this puppy will provide most non audiophiles with good listening and big sound. Pleased with the purchase.
